Gentle Paths Explained

Four distinct movement formats, each described through how your body might feel — not through complex terminology.

Movement Formats We Offer

Each modality can be adapted during a consultation based on your feedback and comfort level in the moment.

Person resting in a supported floor position
Feels like: grounded stillness

Restorative Somatics

Slow, supported positions held with minimal effort. You may notice a sense of heaviness in the limbs and gradual release in areas that hold daily tension from sitting or standing.

Seated movement sequence with arm extensions
Feels like: steady rhythm

Chair-Assisted Flow

Sequences performed entirely from a seated position. Transitions are simple and predictable, offering a sense of continuity without requiring balance or floor work.

Careful standing steps in an open studio
Feels like: careful exploration

Joint-Safe Mobility

Small-range movements that invite your joints to move through familiar paths. The emphasis is on noticing sensation rather than reaching a specific range or position.

Quiet breathing practice with eyes closed
Feels like: spacious calm

Paced Breathing

Guided breath patterns that synchronize with gentle movement or stillness. Many participants describe a widening sensation in the chest and a slower internal tempo.

How Modalities Are Combined

During a consultation, we may blend elements from multiple formats. A session might begin with paced breathing, transition into chair-assisted flow, and conclude with restorative somatics.

You are always invited to pause, ask questions, or request a change in approach. The structure exists to support you, not to follow a fixed script.

Choosing What Feels Right

If you are uncertain which format suits you, that is entirely normal. Your first consultation includes time to sample different approaches at a low intensity.
